There are a lot of things to be proud of about being American (?), but probably the thing I'm the most proud of is that we, as a nation, overcame the Prohibition and came out on the right side—the side that sells beers in 64oz plastic cups.
At Kings County Distillery—the oldest distillery in New York City—they embrace the history of the Prohibition Era, making small batch hooch and bottling them in pint-sized bottles that fit right in your jacket pocket. CONVIENIENT!
So, are you looking for a gift for the history buff/Boardwalk Empire fan/old drunk relative in your life? Pick up a couple of bottles of Kings County Bourbon (Various prices, various locations) and relive the times when everyone had to break the law in order to get their drink on.
